In 1998, Dr. Harding was ordained a Deacon in the United Methodist Church. In 2002, Dr. Harding was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church.  He served Saint Mark United Methodist Church, in Wichita, Kansas, for three years as an Associate Pastor in the Great Plains Annual Conference.

In July of 1998 Dr. Harding was appointed by the Great Plains Annual Conference, to Dellrose United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas, where he currently serves as Lead Pastor. Since coming to Dellrose, by reaching out to the surrounding community, Dellrose has grown from 25 to 800 on the membership roll. Growth and renewal can be seen throughout the congregation. Not only is the church growing numerically, but it is also growing spiritually and financially. Dr. Harding attributes the growth of the church to dynamic teaching, fellowship, praise and worship, and to the fact that Dellrose is a place where everyone will feel the love of God, find the joy of Christ, and experience the power of the Holy Spirit.
